Stephen J. Moriarty

With more than 35 years of experience, Stephen Moriarty is one of Oklahoma’s most respected attorneys in bankruptcy, reorganization, and insolvency law. His work spans both sides of complex financial matters—representing debtors and creditors ranging from sole proprietors to publicly traded companies, banks, and lenders.

Stephen has served in high-profile roles including Chapter 11 Trustee for a public oil and gas production company, and court-appointed receiver for the Oklahoma Department of Securities and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission in multiple Ponzi scheme cases. His courtroom and case management experience is extensive and strategic, with successful outcomes in federal, state, and administrative venues.

An active thought leader in his field, Stephen is a longtime instructor for the National Business Institute and a member of the Academy of Court-Appointed Masters.
